Hines Park Ford Supports Lyon Area Chamber of Commerce at Goodies on the Grand with Special Edition Detroit Lions F-150

At Hines Park Ford, community support is a core part of who we are. This year, we’re proud to partner with the Lyon Area Chamber of Commerce for the annual Goodies on the Grand event, held right here in Lyon Township. In the spirit of local pride and Detroit sports, we were thrilled to provide a Special Edition Detroit Lions F-150 to be featured during the event.

The Goodies on the Grand is a beloved community tradition that brings together families, local businesses, and visitors for a day of fun, food, and festivities. From trick-or-treating for the kids to local vendor showcases, it’s a celebration of the best that our township has to offer. This year, attendees were able to get an up-close look at the special edition F-150, celebrating both the pride of Ford’s craftsmanship and our hometown team, the Detroit Lions.

By supporting this event and providing this iconic vehicle, we continue to emphasize our commitment to the Lyon Township community and to local business collaboration. As a local dealership, it’s important for us to give back to the community that has supported us for so many years.

We’d like to extend a special thanks to the Lyon Township for organizing such a fantastic event and for giving us the opportunity to participate with the Chamber in this meaningful way. The Detroit Lions F-150 isn’t just a vehicle—it’s a symbol of our shared pride in the Motor City and in the partnerships that keep our local community thriving.

At Hines Park Ford, we’re always looking for ways to drive community connection. Whether it’s through special events like Goodies on the Grand or our daily service to customers, we remain committed to delivering excellence both on and off the road.

We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Chamber and can’t wait to see what next year’s event will bring! Go Lions! #HinesParkFord #DetroitLions #CommunityPride #GoodiesOnTheGrand

Why Choosing the Right Fuel in Your Ford Matters

If you’ve ever stared at the pump and thought, “What type of gas does my Ford take?” you’re in good company. That decision isn’t small. It shapes how your engine breathes, responds, accelerates, and survives long-term. Your fuel choice decides on if your Ford feels sharp and confident or sluggish and irritated. From the Ford F-150® to the Mustang® to the Escape®, every model carries fuel guidelines engineered to bring out its best. In New Hudson, MI, where commutes, unpredictable weather, and long weekend drives can push any engine harder than expected, choosing the right fuel becomes a quiet but essential part of vehicle performance. Fortunately, getting it right is far easier than people imagine. more Regular Unleaded or Premium: What’s Best for Your Ford? Most Ford vehicles are designed to run beautifully on regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. It’s simple, it’s cost-effective, and it delivers the performance Ford intended. But some machines—like the Mustang® RTR® or Bronco® Raptor—are built with more attitude under the hood. They often call for premium fuel to unlock every bit of their engineered power. Your owner’s manual spells out the correct choice for your model. Use what it recommends and the engine rewards you with smooth acceleration, clean combustion, and consistent power. Ignore it, and performance suffers. Over time, so can the engine. Can You Use Ethanol Blends in Your Ford? Most gasoline-powered Ford vehicles accept common ethanol blends such as E10 without complaint. It’s widely available, fuel-efficient, and compatible with standard engines. But higher-ethanol blends—like E85—need a Flex-Fuel Ford to run properly. Drivers in New Hudson, MI must be selective here. If your Ford isn’t labeled as Flex-Fuel capable, stay with regular gasoline options. Use the wrong blend, and the engine will make its displeasure known quickly. Tips for Maintaining Peak Fuel Economy Choosing the right gas gives your Ford a strong start. Keeping fuel economy sharp requires a few additional habits: Stay current on maintenance like oil changes and air filter replacements. Avoid aggressive acceleration that burns fuel faster than you think. Check tire pressure frequently; low pressure drags everything down. Use Ford Co-Pilot360® Technology, including adaptive cruise control, to hold steady speeds on the highway. And if your Ford has an EcoBoost® engine, you already own a powertrain built to strike a remarkable balance between performance and efficiency. 2026 Ford Maverick®: Small-Scale Truck Thinking, Big-Picture Capability

There is something quietly rebellious about the 2026 Ford Maverick ®. It refuses to play the “bigger is better” game that has defined pickups for decades. Instead, it sneaks into the conversation with a smaller footprint, lighter attitude, and a sense that hauling plywood or heading toward Kensington Metropark should not require a vehicle the size of a municipal building. more Powertrains That Think Before They Drink Efficiency is the Maverick’s opening argument. The standard 2.5L full hybrid system returns an EPA-estimated 42 MPG in city driving, turning routine errands into exercises in fuel-budget optimism. Drivers craving stronger thrust can choose the available 2.0L EcoBoost® engine. With the 4K Tow Package equipped, Maverick is capable of towing up to 4,000 lbs., while the maximum payload reaches 1,500 lbs. This compact pickup may look modest, yet it moves tools, trail gear, and renovation supplies with convincing authority. Personalities, Not Just Trim Names Maverick’s lineup reads less like a hierarchy and more like a menu of lifestyles. XL keeps things focused and functional, pairing hybrid efficiency with FLEXBED® versatility and a modern 13.2-inch SYNC® 4 display. XLT introduces extra daily convenience along with available FX4® capability for drivers who occasionally wander off pavement. Lobo™ adopts a street-performance mindset, blending a 2.0L EcoBoost® engine with performance-tuned suspension and torque-vectoring rear drive hardware. Lariat® leans toward refinement, offering heated seating, available 360-degree camera visibility, and Pro Trailer Backup Assist™. Tremor® transforms Maverick into a trail companion, adding advanced 4WD calibration, protective skid plates, and rugged suspension tuning built for Michigan’s less predictable terrain. Practical Engineering That Feels Clever Instead of Complicated The FLEXBED® system is one of Maverick’s smartest tricks. Adjustable tie-downs, storage customization, and available integrated power outlets turn the bed into a rolling workshop or weekend staging area. Inside, seating for five blends pickup functionality with crossover-like maneuverability, making daily driving feel approachable rather than cumbersome. Selectable drive modes and available off-road packages allow Maverick to adapt as seasons shift and road surfaces change across southeastern Michigan. A Cabin That Speaks Modern Fluency Technology here feels intuitive rather than overwhelming. The standard 13.2-inch center touchscreen keeps navigation, apps, and connectivity within easy reach, while available Ford Co-Pilot360® driver-assist features add reassurance during crowded commutes or tight parking maneuvers. Optional enhancements, such as a 360-degree camera system, further simplify trailer positioning or navigating confined workspaces. See How Compact Capability Changes the Routine For New Hudson drivers seeking real truck usefulness without oversized compromises, the 2026 Ford Maverick® offers a compelling rethink of what a pickup can be.
