172-Point Inspection
& Additional Criteria

For a Ford vehicle to become a Certified Pre-Owned Ford, it must pass a rigorous 172-point inspection. It must also be less than six years old and have fewer than 80,000 miles logged on its odometer. Our 172-point inspection checks every component of your vehicle, which includes, but isn't limited to, your car's:

• Interior
• Wheels
• Drivetrain
• Tires
• Brakes
• Doors

Once your Ford passes its inspection, it'll be promptly taken on a road test to see how it performs, so we can confidently label it as a Certified Pre-Owned Ford. Both the road test and 172-point inspection must be passed for your Ford to earn that title.
