Standard Features List Expands For the 2018 Ford Mustang

At this year’s Detroit Auto Show, Ford gave us our first look at the redesigned 2018 Mustang. With an upgraded design—led by a lower nose and more aggressive headlights—expanded features list, and tweaked suspension, it looks like it’ll be gobs of fun on road or track. But the real ticket are the numerous standard features that were once mere “options.”

Among these is line-lock—a form of launch control once reserved for V8-powered Mustang GTs. Now, it will be available on base EcoBoost models, letting all future owners burn rubber to their heart’s content. Also standard are upgraded suspension—which is now on the level of a previous performance package—LED headlights, MyKey, LATCH, a six-speed manual gearbox, and a limited-slip differential. For options, MagneRide Damping, a Shaker Pro Audio system, and a 12-inch digital instrument display with customizable features are all on tap.

The 2018 Mustang will come with five different interior styles, eleven exterior colors, eight add-on packages, and more options than you can shake a stick at. To get the jump on this new pony car, contact our Ford dealership in New Hudson, MI to get the ball rolling.
